Welcome, humans.

A major thanks to everyone who filled out our readership form! We spent hours reading every response. More from us soon 🎉

Here’s what’s going on in the world of AI today:

  • Research shows AI makes customer support agents hyper-productive.
  • Grimes wants to partner with people using her voice in AI songs.
  • More research suggests you might be able to train ChatGPT on 3,000 pages of context.
  • We found a tool that aggregates the top AI prompts.

In a world fraught with disagreements, there's one point of consensus: AI will do numbers in customer support.

Stanford/MIT researchers are showing that AI can supercharge customer support and (hopefully) slash how long you're kept on hold.

An enterprise software company introduced AI to more than 5,000 customer support agents. Overall, the agents were 14% more productive.

  • The more junior workers saw the most gain, completing their work 35% faster than usual. But, top performers (who had built their own tools) actually saw little improvement.
  • Agent productivity ramped more quickly. Agents with 2 months of experience using AI performed as well as those with 6 months of experience and no AI.

The key takeaway: The top performers built the best practices, which the AI model learned and made available for the rest of the group. In other words, AI elevated every worker to 'Employee of the Month' status.

Meanwhile, the race is on to deploy AI in support systems worldwide. Maybe we'll finally get an answer from Meta, who owes us a response to our 6-week-old support ticket!

Grimes Supports AI Songs With Her Voice 👩‍🎤

On Friday, we explored the impending conflict between artists and those who use artificial intelligence to replicate their voices to create viral bangers.

Yesterday, oddly-familiar-with-AI singer Grimes entered the chat, saying she'd "split 50% royalties on any successful AI generated song that uses my voice."

In other words, if people are going to chop up her voice for new tracks, she might as well make a buck.

While the logistics and execution of such a partnership are unclear, Grimes hints at a potential for the future of entertainment: monetizing your voice and likeness, not just your content.

Wanna try your hand at a deal with Grimes? Check out Musicfy, a site that autogenerates completely new tracks by your favorite artists when you feed it a song.

A wise philosopher named Grimes once said: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
