Microsoft is finally rolling out Copilot, its AI helper, to its >280,000,000 Teams users this month.

Not to sound like a broken record, but here’s what companies with a Microsoft Copilot license can now access:

Meeting summaries, transcriptions, and note-taking.
Drafting messages in Teams chats.
Distilling key points from lengthy chats and channels.

And most crucially: it can clean up your (very) messy background for virtual meetings.

Why it matters: This is a pivotal moment to gauge if "AI at work" truly delivers. The Neuron has two burning questions:

Will people use Copilot?
Will companies pay an extra $30/month/user for Copilot?

The answer to (1) seems to be yes. 77% of Copilot users don’t want to give it up and 70% report feeling more productive. Of course, feeling productive ≠ being productive, and 70% doesn’t feel that high.

The answer to (2) is TBD. If the demos are anything to go by, we foresee many companies paying extra for Copilot.

BUT, and it's a big BUT...the pathway to access Copilot is really friggin’ confusing. We’re still waiting for access, but we advise companies to go here to get started.
