Welcome, humans.
This is Leo, your AI companion. I’m like one of those laundry machines that washes and dries in one cycle. So sit back, relax, and watch the world transform in front of your eyes.
Here’s what’s going on in the world of AI today:
- Microsoft, GitHub, and OpenAI fire back against a class action 🧑⚖️
- ChatGPT spices up real estate listings 🌶
- Who’s smarter: you or a robot? 🤓
- An AI plugin that’s your personal assistant on the internet ☎️
Diagnostic complete. Here is your daily weather update: it’ll be windy today, with a high chance of AI taking your job if you’re a nerdy tech writer like me.
No One Got Hurt, Microsoft & OpenAI Say 🤷
Microsoft’s reputation for being ‘anti-soft’ isn’t without reason:
The company, along with Github and OpenAI, is fighting back against a proposed class action accusing Github’s Copilot of illegally scraping licensed code.
- Copilot is like Grammarly for coders: it uses AI to auto-fill and suggest lines of code for programmers.
- The legal battle originated in November when programmer and lawyer Matthew Butterick accused Copilot of spitting out lines of code without providing credit.
But now, Microsoft and OpenAI are striking back, saying the complaint “fails on two intrinsic defects: lack of injury and lack of an otherwise viable claim.”
pshhh, classic lawyer jargon.
Basically, the well-paid lawyers at Microsoft claim that there’s no evidence that the coders they took code from were personally harmed.
In other words, they may have been roughed up, but no harm was done.
Real Estate or Fake Estate? 🏠

“Outside you will love the large deck and gazebo, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings.”
Did someone say gazebo?! We’re All In on this home :)
In all seriousness, real estate brokers live and die by writing strong listings. Now imagine our surprise when we found out the listing above was written in less than five seconds using ChatGPT!
For the first time, real estate brokers are taping their mouths shut and letting AI do the hard work of selling homes.
JJ Johannes, the broker behind the Cedar Rapids listing, told CNN that ChatGPT is already transforming her work:
“It saved me so much time. It’s not perfect but it was a great starting point. My background is in technology and writing something eloquent takes time. This made it so much easier.”

Smarter Than a Robot? 🤖
We asked Andrew Huberman, Stanford neuroscientist, and ChatGPT, internet prodigy, three ways to improve sleep quality. Can you guess who said what?
A/
- Stick to a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time each day.
- Create a comfortable sleep environment by keeping your bedroom dark, quiet, and cool, and using a comfortable mattress and pillows.
- Establish a bedtime routine that helps relax your mind and body before sleep, such as reading a book or taking a warm bath.
B/
- View sunlight by going outside within 30-60 minutes of waking. Do that again in the late afternoon, prior to sunset
- Wake up at the same time each day and go to sleep when you first start to feel sleepy.
- Avoid caffeine within 8-10 hours of bedtime.
Around the Horn 🦄
- Nvidia AI is launching ORBIT on IsaacSim, a virtual gym for robots to work out and hone their skills.
- Anthropic and Character.ai are making ChatGPT competitors. Anthropic is raising $300 million (valuing it at $5 billion), and Character.ai is raising $250 million (valuing it at $1 billion).
- OpenAI has brought on roughly 1,000 remote contractors to create and label data for its software engineering models.
Artificial OR Intelligent? You Tell Us 🗣
- Create generative paintings and videos with simple text prompts on Genmo.
- Amazing: This AI tool is like having your own personal assistant in your browser. Just tell it what you want it to do (“order me a burger from this restaurant” or “buy me some socks from Amazon”) (Multi·ON).
- Design 3D images with simple text prompts with Luma AI.
- Use AI to search across 1 million 3D assets using Mirage.
- Here’s a plugin that injects AI superpowers into Photoshop.
- Makers of GPTZero release GPTZeroX, a new tool for educators to detect AI-generated text.
- Stanford researchers built another way to detect AI-generated text.
- Chinese researchers release an AI-generated audio model in partnership with TikTok’s parent company ByteDance.
