Moderna sees results with ChatGPT Enterprise.
Remember Moderna, the biotech trailblazer behind the second-best Covid-19 vaccine? We're partial to Pfizer, sorry... But hey, at least Moderna's not J&J!
Well, the now $42B company is partnering with OpenAI to accelerate the development of other life-saving mRNA medicines and, of course, to increase the productivity of its staff.
Two highlights from the partnership reveal:
- 100% of Modernaās legal team is using ChatGPT Enterprise (this plan doesnāt use your data to train its models).
- Moderna is seeing huge adoption for GPTs, aka specialized versions of ChatGPT.
In fact, Moderna and its employees (with OpenAIās assistance) have built over 750 GPTs!
- One GPT called āDose IDā reviews clinical data and visualizes large datasets.
- Another, āPolicy Bot GPTā, helps employees get quick answers about internal policies without needing to search through endless documents.
- A corporate GPT translates biotech jargon into layman's terms for investor updates.
- Our fave, Contract Companion GPT, can āreadā any contract:
GPTs can help automate any repetitive processes or tasks typically reserved for interns. A smart move by Moderna was to encourage leaders AND staff to craft specialized GPTs for their unique needs and share them with colleagues.
To get started using GPTs, start with our guide, OpenAIās guide, and then experiment with the GPT Builder in ChatGPT+.
On the flip side: 65% of the top 20 Big Pharma firms have banned ChatGPT at work over concerns about leaking sensitive internal data.

Adobe had two notable AI releases this week.
1. Firefly 3. This is their latest AI image creation tool, which you can try for free here or in Photoshop.
The quality isā¦fine (it wouldn't stump you at Thursday Trivia). It's noticeably inferior to Midjourney v6, as evident here:
Also, why did Adobeās marketing team show a Firefly 3 image that looks more AI-generated than the Firefly 2 image?!
The good thing about Firefly, though, is its integration into nearly all of Adobe's design products, like Photoshop, which is now used by over 90% (!) of the worldās creative professionals.
Firefly also gets paired with handy design features like Generative Fill, which allows you to expand images, alter backgrounds, or even insert objects into an image with a brief description.
2. VideoGigaGAN is Adobeās latest research that can take a blurry video and turn it into one thatās way higher resolution. 8x higher resolution, to be exact.
Itās pretty spectacular:
This could be a nifty tool for all those overly-blurry videos your parents insist on showing you that were captured on point-and-shoot cameras.
