Welcome, humans.
Another awesome (and terrifying) new robot dropāa Chinese startup called EngineAI just released a video of the first humanoid robot to actually walk like a human:
ā
Since all other robots weāve seen seem to waddle (or parkour) around, theyāve clearly done some really impressive training.
When you pair this dude with Torso from yesterday, youāve basically got yourself a full humanoid robot right there.
Remember that one Pet Shop Boys song from the 80s? āYouāve got the brawnā¦Iāve got the brainsā¦ letās make lots of money.ā
Well this version is āIāve got the armsā¦ Youāve got the legsā¦ letās take over the human race!ā
Now, walking robots are cool, but you know whatās even cooler? A rolling one:
Rotunbot (RT-G) an Autonomous Spherical Robot by Logon Technology
Hereās what you need to know about AI today:
- Claude can now write code in your browser.
- Meta launched phone-sized Llama 3.2 models.
- UK probed Google-Anthropic investment.
- White House pushed for faster military AI adoption.
Claude just got a huge upgrade, Part 2āit can now run its own code.
Itās Shiptober, yāall.
Anthropic must have heard us predict they wonāt release a new Opus model before the U.S. Presidential election last week, because the drops this week wonāt stop coming.
That, or the companyās really trying to show off to help raise that moolah.
Todayās new drop is the āAnalysis toolā, a new feature that basically turns Claude into your personal data analyst. Itās basically Claudeās version of GPTās Code Interpreter.
Hereās how it works: before, Claude wrote code, and could even display some of it (but, like, simple stuff). Now, Claude can execute JavaScript code directly in the chat window. This lets you:
- Process data, create visualizations, or handle complex math (no good demos of math so hereās a chart of Claudeās emotions today).
- Analyze sales performance or create a sales funnel.
- Create dashboards, like a chart of your daily spending, from raw data.
If youāre like us when we first heard about this, and are still confused about how this is different than Artifacts, hereās a Perplexity answer for ya.
Fair warningāthe entire data set is in the context window, which limits how much you can do with this, but thatāll change soon. Also, there are workarounds.
The best part? Analysis is available to all Claude.ai users right nowājust toggle it on in the Feature Preview, like below:
Why itās important: This change means Claude can now test its solutions and verify they work, hopefully leading to more accurate and reliable answers.
This is pretty important, as Claude can now use your computer to do things like look up sports stats, play Minecraft with you (but maybe read this first), or even solve Captchasā¦waitā¦solve Captchas?! Uh ohā¦
