Welcome, humans.
Twitter's rebrand to “X” in hopes of making all its problems disappear is like Kanye's transition to “Ye.” They think we’ll just forget who they are. 😂
Here’s what’s going on in the world of AI today:
- Sam Altman launches Worldcoin.
- High-paying, white-collar jobs will be most impacted by AI.
- OpenAI’s AI detection tool is being shut down.
- AI is concentrated in California (& mainly SF).

Sam Altman Launches Worldcoin To Preserve “Digital Identity” 👀
We all know Sam Altman of House OpenAI, the first of his name, King of Silicon Valley, breaker of writer's block, and father of ChatGPT.
He’s back with a new project.
It’s called Worldcoin.
Worldcoin verifies that a person is real. It scans your eyes using an AI-powered “Orb”, after which you receive an ID and Worldcoin’s cryptocurrency, $WLD.
Think of it like a digital passport that pays you to join.
Why? To prove who’s human in a world filled with AI.
Oh, and this isn’t sci-fi we’re talking about. Worldcoin is already here with over 2 million users, a $3 billion valuation, and plans to expand to 35 cities across 20 countries.
Here’s our take: We’re stoked and spooked. Worldcoin’s mission is noble (increasing economic opportunity), but the whole eye-scanning thing feels a bit too Black Mirror-y for us.
Flipside, Worldcoin might just be the hero we need to put an end to proliferating online bots and deepfakes by distinguishing between humans and computers.
Buckle up, the future’s knocking!

Here’s The Truth About AI “Automating” All Our Jobs 👇
Made using Code Interpreter!
Surely you’ve come across article headlines like “AI will render 300 million jobs obsolete.”
We think that’s just lazy.
The reality is: AI will impact some jobs more than others.
Researchers from Penn, NYU, and Princeton developed a method called AI Occupational Exposure (AIOE) to pinpoint the professions most exposed to AI.
Here’s the biggest finding: the most exposed industries are high-paying white-collar ones: legal, investment, business, and insurance. The ones econ majors drool over.
Important note: exposure does not mean automation.
Exposure simply implies that these types of jobs will incorporate more AI skills. So if you’re in any of the industries mentioned (or any knowledge-based field), here’s what we recommend:
- identify areas where AI can do your job.
- learn how AI can enhance your work.
- develop skills that AI lacks (creativity, interpersonal skills, and so forth).
Around the Horn 🦄
- AI jobs and startups are highly concentrated in California (especially San Francisco).
- OpenAI shut down its AI detection tool due to its “low rate of accuracy.”
- Bing, which is currently only available within Microsoft Edge, is being tested in Chrome and Safari.
- Join an intimate gathering with two AI experts to discuss AI ethics and AI in the future of healthcare.
Treat To Try 🍿
Important note: from now on, we’re going to feature 1 helpful AI tool per day, not multiple.
The truth is most new AI tools aren’t worth your time, and we know just how valuable your time is. 🧡
Here’s something that is worth your time:
Fillout is an AI that builds forms and quizzes in a click. Just describe what you want or import questions, and Fillout churns out a Typeform-like form in seconds.
We curated the top 27 tools you need for work in our “Top Tools For Business”!
